Goodbye to you...

Hwei-Ming and Yun Tjin will be leaving on a jet plane to Melbourne on Feb 10 so we had a "surprise" farewell dinner for the both of them at Soul'ed Out last friday. I would say the place is "cool" or like Bethany puts it, "havoc" for a first-timer like me.

The dinner was supposed to be at 7 pm but a few of us only arrived there at approximately 8.30 pm due to the traffic jam and partly because of me.

I came back realising that I'm gonna miss Miss Choong Hwei-Ming when she leaves. sigh, I'm gonna miss the way she sneezes...the way she talks...and..and...the way she "okaaaaaays.." my lameness..."sob sob":(

I wish you didn't have to go, but well since you have to, please do write me an email or send me a message whenever you're free. Don't forget your old friend here after meeting some new Aussie kids there, alright?

I guess I'm gonna miss Yun too... tsk.

Bad Morning?

This morning has been a waiting morning for me.

I woke up early at 6.30 as I was scheduled to go for a 3 hour driving session this morning.
I was supposed to be at the driving centre at 7.30 in Kota Damansara. Our patience were tested as my mum and I waited in the car for almost an hour until the driving instructor came.

That was my first waiting experience.
My patience was tested again during our (another student and I) driving session. It lasted only for half an hour.
Why? The Perodua Kancil that we were learning in had a problem. That was after both of us used it. The van driver who sent us back later told us that our driving instructor was a new guy and he had several problems with the car before teaching us in which the other instructors did not have. And I thought either of us spoilt it.

My driving instructor then drove us to a mechanic shop to check the car and give it a repair. Upon arrival, the mechanic told us that the gear box is spoilt.
Sigh...nevermind...
We had to wait there for another hour for another car to get us back to the driving school. Great, I thought. I didn't know our lesson ended there just like that.
As if not able to learn wasn't enough, we then had to wait again for another driving instructor at the driving school for his thumbprint.
Guess what? He was in PJ at that time and had totally forgotten about us.
Nice...That itself costs us 2 hours of waiting. Yes, I don't know what took him so long to arrive.

Lastly, instead of using the shortcut to my house on the way home which was normally used, the van driver drove us back using another way.
In the end, I was the last to arrive home when I could have gotten home first.

In short, my supposedly 3 hour driving session was cut off to half an hour. I spent almost the whole morning waiting for no good reason.

Indeed, I have to admit that God is really testing my patience.

So much for a driving lesson huh.

Too free

My life right now is like a honeymoon or maybe I'm like floating in the
middle of the sea, waiting for a lifeboat to rescue me.
This means I'm waiting for universities la basically.

So, in the meantime, I've prepared a list of what I'm going to learn this holiday.

And also, stuff I should do daily.
Sigh...hope it works.

It starts right about here..

1. Learn driving
2. Learn Mandarin
3. Learn guitar
4. Learn computer?
5. Learn cooking
6. Learn sewing
7. Read the Word daily
8. Pray daily
9. Exercise daily
10. Read a book daily
11. Play the piano daily

Anybody wanna add anything else to the list? I would be more than happy to be able to fulfil my own list.

Just hope for my good news when my holidays are over, aiight?
Maybe, for those who are as free as me, can follow suit. :p

Have a wonderful day.

Gotcha!

Last Friday was one of those memorable days in cg life's history.
We, members of PJ 2 cg, planned and organised a surprise dinner as an appreciation for our three wonderful leaders.
Thank God, neither of them knew our plan or suspected something amiss!

On the night itself, Miss Cheryl Poo, our dearest cg leader came walking into TGiF at 10 pm when the dinner was scheduled to be at 8 pm.
It's okay, we forgive her as she was held up under unforeseen circumstances.
Racheal wanted to go off earlier after the dinner but we managed to make her stay.
For all I know, Amanda, Christle, and I were holding our breaths the whole time, waiting for the time to come.
As the time drew closer to 10 pm, I felt my body running chilly and feet shaking nervously.
In my heart, I kept repeating "Where's Cheryl? Where's Cheryl?" 20 minutes before the "time", I was worried she would change her mind of not coming since it was already way past time. And finally, after much wait, she came...

I'll let the pictures do the talking for the rest of the events that happened on that night.

This picture of Cheryl was taken as the TGIF staffs chorused a "birthday song" for them.
You should have seen the surprise look on their faces when they were told to stand.
Now you know why we chose TGIF :)

Rachael. Too happy for words. Wasn't able to put up Christian's
picture as he was just standing right beside me, so he was too
high for me to snap a photo.

A group picture of those who came for the dinner.

And, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our creative Amanda for helping to design the personal messages and slide presentation of the leaders in such a creative way.

It was lovely!

Not forgetting Kelvin, who wasn't able to make it last minute due to work.
I also wanna thank him for putting so much effort into making this eventful event a success.

Lastly, I wanna say thank you to all the members of PJ 2 cg for your involvement in some way or another in making this dinner a success.

Indeed, I'm looking forward this year for any other cg events :p

Addiction

For those of you who do not know me well, I'm the type who gets addicted very easily with games ,be it computer or handphone. For the past few weeks, I've been playing internet games like backgammon, checkers and reversi. I know these sound lame to you but I just don't know why I'm so glued to them.

Recently, I've just downloaded an old game which I haven't played for a long time, called CD-Man 2. Trust me, it's really interesting. My excuse for downloading it was because of my mum.

The funny thing about being addicted to these games is that my mum has the same addiction as me. This explains why I get addicted so easily. I probably inherited her addiction and that's why we can share the same interest.

Besides, my dad recently had a new handphone and guess what? My mum and I secretly use his phone to play Bubble Breaker and we challenge each other based on the points we get.

These addictions definitely have to come to an end or it'll be ruining my entire future. Looks like I seriously have to go job hunting in the meantime. And I thought I was gonna be so busy during the holidays.
